Take Notice: Micromural Program

Theme: Roots

In 2027, the Manville Arts Council will launch Take Notice, a six-mural collection bringing original artwork into Manville’s landscape. The project includes one 10’ x 10’ mural, two 6’ x 6’ murals, and three 4’ x 4’ murals at various locations, such as local businesses and public spaces. The largest will be on Main Street. Site development is underway with borough support and commitments from private owners.

Six New Jersey artists will be chosen through an open call focused on ROOTS, exploring belonging, identity, history, connection, resilience, growth, and place. Artists will have about five months to complete their work, either in their own studios using the Polytab method or onsite.
Main Street and local business locations throughout Manville. Actual locations to come.
